Is the Chow Chow the right dog for you?

The Chow Chow dog is a beautiful dog that is protective of their owners and can show a bit of a stubborn streak. The Chow Chow’s thick coat can allow them to stand very cold weather. Another possible condition is canine hip dysplasia. This is genetic based issue where looseness in the hip joint that can lead to arthritis pain or, in extreme cases, leave them lame. Also minor issues like ingrown eye lashes and hot skin spots can be found in Chow Chow’s.
